I write music, and maybe I’ll write some for you! I’ve been composing music since the mid 2000’s and professionally mixing and mastering it for the past half decade or so. If you need someone to give your track a punch, or just want someone to write you something for use in a project, I’m definitely willing to help!

You can see my most recent songs in this site’s Multimedia -> Music section, but there’s a lot that I haven’t shared to the web too. My preferential musical genres include:
- Rock and virtually all of it’s subgenres
- Nu Metal and other “less heavy” metal music
- Pop Rock
- Chiptunes and traditional “video game music”
- Electronica and it’s many subgenres like Dance, Trance, House, etc.
- Hip Hop & Rap
- Classical and Orchestral compositions
- Industrial
- Drum & Bass
In particular, I am very skilled at writing acoustic drums, electric guitar, synth lead melodies and strings. I am willing to work outside my genres of choice, but understand that I am less skilled with those genres, and so it may be in your best interest to seek someone else’s services if you’re needing something like a lot of country music or bluegrass.
Rates
The rate you will be charged will be highly dependent on exactly what type of work you want me to do, but some factors will include:
- The scope of the project — do you want me to write you a song, or are you just needing help getting something you already wrote and recorded sounding “studio quality?”
- The time I estimate it will take to do what you need — helping you get a mix just a little bit more pleasant to listen to will be considerably less time consuming than writing a full song or soundtrack.
- Credit — will I receive credit for my contributions? Receiving credit is no substitute for payment, but getting my name out there does count for something, and will probably result in a steep discount
- Do I have time? — if I have large amounts of time on my hands, and your request doesn’t require too much of it, I’ll probably do it for less. If I’m running short on time, I’m going to price my music production and composition skills a lot more aggressively.
As a general rule, I would say that my rate will probably be around $200 per song if you want me to compose something something from scratch, or $15 per hour if you want me to mix and master something (with most mixes requiring about 5-8 hours of work if I have to start from scratch). If you want me to add strings or additional flourishes to your song, then you’d probably be looking at something roughly between those two prices.
